Contralateral cervical 7 as a potential donor in nerve transfer of adult brachial plexus injury especially in root avulsion case: A case report

چکیده
Introduction: Contralateral cervical 7 (CC7) nerve transfer can be used in the absence of neurotizer BPI total root avulsion case. CC7 was introduced by Gu et al. 1986, and aimed to restore motor sensory function hand. The purpose this paper is report patients with nearly using median nerve. Case Presentation: A man suffered a motorcycle accident March 2010. There complete loss right upper limb. From examination, it obtained that C5-6, C7 postganglionic rupture C8-T1. In April 2010 has been done neurotization C4 C5, C3 suprascapular nerve, phrenic C6, C6 graft, vascularized pedicle ulnar graft. An evaluation made at donor recipient sites. first admission he had motoric last for 5 years post operation site showed range motion (ROM) elbow flexion recovered M4 ROM 135o, shoulder abduction reached M3 30 o, finger M2, hand sensation came up S1. no morbidity on from evaluation. Conclusion: Therefore, potential adult cases without causing site.

Schwannoma of the Brachial Plexus: A Rare Case Report
Introduction: Brachial plexus schwannomas are extremely rare tumours of the head and neck region accounting for less than 5 % overall. Due to its rarity and anatomic complexity of the brachial plexus, schwannomas in this region present a diagnostic and surgical challenge to the surgeon. Case Report: We present a case of a 56-year-old female who presented with a slow gr...
متن کاملPhysiological and clinical advantages of median nerve fascicle transfer to the musculocutaneous nerve following brachial plexus root avulsion injury.
OBJECT Loss of biceps muscle function is a significant disability after brachial plexus root avulsion injuries. Nerve grafting techniques to reestablish anatomical and functional continuity between the spinal cord and the avulsed root have not proven successful. Using nerve transfers for functional restoration of root avulsion injuries appears to be effective and has physiological advantages fo...
متن کاملBrachial plexus injury after anterior shoulder dislocation: a case report.
Brachial plexus injury is a rare complication of anterior dislocation of the shoulder: nine cases have been reported in the literature. We report a unique case of anterior dislocation of the shoulder with associated brachial plexus palsy involving the posterior and medial cords. This is the first reported case of such an injury. Previous case reports of brachial plexus palsy in association with...
متن کاملComplete Brachial Plexus Injury - An Amputation Dilemma. A Case Report
Brachial plexus injuries with intact yet flail limb presents with problems of persistent neuropathic pain and recurrent shoulder dislocations, that render the flail limb a damn nuisance. As treating surgeons, we are faced with the dilemma of offering treatment options, bearing in mind the patient's functional status and expectations. We present a case of a 55-year old housewife with complete br...
